On June 18, 2016, General Music Director Roland Kluttig effortlessly bridges the ages at the Landestheater Coburg: Henry Purcell’s baroque opera “Dido and Aeneas” and the tragic one-act play “Riders to the sea” by Ralph Vaughan Williams are presented in a double evening.

Reconciling the two English works will be a musical challenge and will be performed on a German stage for the first time in this combination.
