Roland Kluttig conducts Rosenkavalier in Coburg

For the first time in 15 years, Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier will be performed again at the Landestheater Coburg. Roland Kluttig directs the new production of this "comedy for music".  The premiere of the new production cast a spell over the audience, both musically and scenically.

Soprano Betsy Horne returns to the Landestheater as a guest in the role of Field Marshal. The bassist Michael Lion sings Baron Ochs auf Lerchenau. Verena Usemann takes over the Octavian. Peter Schöne is on the stage as Lord of Faninal. Sven Bindseil's costume designs were also inspired by original costumes from the first Coburg "Rosenkavalier" production from 1911, which were discovered in the store.

The Rosenkavalier can be seen at the Landestheater Coburg in the 2015/2016 season until May 11, 2016.
